The auditorium was packed for a showing of “Clemente”, the latest from Vinegar Hill Films and director David Altrogge. The documentary focused on the life of Pirates legend Roberto Clemete and the work and kindness he showed off the field along with the drive to be the best in baseball. Altrogge said it was great to be back in the theater where he showed his first film ten years ago.
While the film has not been connected to any distribution deals, it has already won acclaim as it received the Documentary Spotlight Audience Award at the 2024 South By Southwest, a film festival in Austin, Texas.
The film will be screened today at the Indiana Theater at 2:00 PM with a filmmaker’s workshop to follow. Altrogge’s first film, a psychological thriller called “Twin Reflex” that was shot in Indiana, will be shown tonight at 7:00 PM.
