Indiana County’s first responders were active on Thursday and early this morning.
One call was for a vehicle fire at 12:26 PM along Coleman Road in Young Township. That brought crews from the Iselin, Coal Run, Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire departments.
Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters were dispatched to School Lane in Burrell Township at 4:20 PM to set up a landing zone. Lifeflight was called to the River Valley High School Complex to transport a football player who suffered a non-life-threatening injury during practice. Additional details have not been released.
And crews were on the scene at 4:32 this morning for a vehicle accident on Route 403 South in Buffington Township. State Police were joined by the Vintondale and Brush Valley fire departments.
