Austin Schawl and Caden Force both shot 40 and shared medalist honors as Indiana beat Armstrong 207-232 yesterday at Kittanning Country Club. Chace Force was a stroke back at 41 and Ryan Bell and Gabe Nettleton were three back, both shooting 43. Indiana is 4-3 and 2-1 in Section play.
At White Oak Golf Course on Tuesday, West Shamokin topped River Valley, 206-224. Alex Talmadge led the victorious Wolves with a 38. Braden Talmadge had a 39, Logan Geist a 40, Gunnar Shoop a 42, Kash Julius a 47 and Travis Johns a 48. A good nine for River Valley’s Jake Pynos, who claimed medalist honors with a 34. Jeremy Reed shot 42, Brady Doak a 45, Chase Stuchal a 48, Holden Fridley a 55, and Bryson McDowell a 59.
Homer-Center and Conemaugh Township matched up at Chestnut Ridge and the Indians took it by 23 strokes, 203-226. CT’s Ben Steinbeck was medalist with a one over par 37. Marcus Coy shot a season-best 40 to lead the Wildcats, who also got a 43 from Brayden Rado, matching 47s by Noah Turk and Ava King, and a 49 by Angelo Alexander.
Indiana’s girls played a close one with Ligonier Valley, falling by 11 strokes, 206-217. Medalist was LV’s Alyssa Johnston with a 47. Indiana’s Izzy Slagle was three strokes back at 50. Liliana Manzi and Bella Donatelli each shot 55 and Angelina Donatelli had a 57.
