Indiana County’s emergency responders got a break on Saturday, with the only incidents reported an accident and an automatic fire alarm activation No police report is available on an accident yesterday on Route 553 in Pine Township. Nicktown and Pine Township firefighters responded.
The automatic fire alarm was along Independence Drive in Blairsville. Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters were dispatched.
There is one accident report from state police today. An Elderton woman escaped injury Tuesday evening when an animal ran out on the road in front of her on Sportsman Club Road in Armstrong Township, causing her to swerve and hit a tree. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
