The Steelers will face off against the Buffalo Bills tonight in the second pre-season game of 2024. This is coming off some a joint practice session between the two teams. Veteran Quarterback Russell Wilson will start for the Steelers after sharing reps with Justin Fields as Wilson recovered from a strained calf. Meanwhile the drama continues over a potential trade for Wide Receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and it looks like the 49ers are getting close to keeping their star pass catcher. NFL Media’s Mike Garafalo reported yesterday that Aiyuk and the 49ers are on the same page on the first three years of his four-year contract, but he wants an adjustment to the fourth year, which is not guaranteed. The Steelers have been in the mix for Aiyuk’s services, and the framework is in place to send him to Pittsburgh, but it’s up to the 49ers to pull the trigger.
