A woman charged in connection with the death of her husband in July of 2023 is due in Indiana County court today for a sentencing hearing.
37-year-old Lauren Bingaman pleaded guilty on July 1st to four counts of child endangerment and single counts of involuntary manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The charges stemmed from the death of 34-year-old Daniel Bingaman of Clymer, who died due to an overdose of a combination of fentanyl and xylazine.
While investigating his death, troopers noticed Lauren present with several young children in reach of drug paraphernalia. Police said she purchased the drugs that lead to his death.
Four counts of reckless endangerment and a single count of drug delivery resulting in death were not prosecuted as part of the deal.
