After an off day yesterday, the Pirates look to snap a 10-game losing streak as they return home tonight to open a weekend series against the Seattle Mariners.
Joe Block has a preview.
You’ll hear tonight’s game at 6:15 on WCCS.
The Associated Press reports the Pirates have reached a verbal agreement to settle a lawsuit started by the MLB Players Association, claiming the Pirates wrongfully used more than three players’ image and likeness during their marketing campaign with Sheetz. The partnership, which includes a patch on the left sleeve of jerseys with the Altoona-based company’s logo, was announced on June 21 and the Pirates used approximately six players in their announcement, including Paul Skenes, Andrew McCutchen, and Nick Gonzales.
No amount was disclosed in the settlement, but reports say it was agreed upon Thursday afternoon.
