The Steelers wrapped up training camp at St. Vincent College yesterday and coach Mike Tomlin said the team ended things “with an exclamation point.” Players went through a padless workout for the final day in Latrobe and went through a competitive set of 7-on-7’s and some redzone battles.
The coach liked what he saw from his team on Wednesday and said there was a noticeable uptick in energy on the field.
Tomlin was impressed with what a lot of players showed during the course of camp, but he was really proud of the team’s rookie class.
Practice returns to Pittsburgh today and the first workout will feature a joint session with the Buffalo Bills at one o’clock. Both teams will then meet at Acrisure Stadium for the second game of the preseason on Saturday.
Quarterback Russell Wilson said joint practices offer a different perspective, rather than facing teammates every day.
You’ll be able to hear Saturday’s game on WDAD 100.3 FM and AM 1450 starting with the pregame show at 5.

The Patriots swung a trade with Atlanta yesterday, dealing star pass rusher Matthew Judon to the Falcons in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick. Judon collected 32 sacks for New England since signing there in 2021.
Week two of the preseason kicks off tonight with New England hosting Philadelphia.
