A Derry Township man is in jail after he reportedly stabbed someone with a broken guitar during an incident on Monday.
State police from the Kiski Valley barracks have charged 59-year-old Kevin Gaudino with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault and harassment. Troopers were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of County Road at 9:05 PM on August 12th and found a female victim with a blood stain on her pants. She told police that Gaudino spent the day drinking vodka and was drunk when he hit her with his guitar and stabbed her in the leg.
Mutual Aid ambulance workers evaluated the victim on-scene and said that she had superficial injuries. Troopers said that they found the neck of the guitar was broken, and there were no red marks, scrapes or bruises on the victim’s face where she indicated she was hit. Gaudino was arraigned before District Judge Kelly Tua Hammers and was sent to Westmoreland County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for September 11th.
