An Indiana man was ordered to serve a year of probation for a guilty plea to a charge of simple assault. Court documents say 31-year-old David Gallaher was facing charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment in an incident on September 27th of 2023 at a business in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street. The other charges were not prosecuted. The sentence was handed down by Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco.
Also in Indiana County Court yesterday was Gary Hazlett, a 25-year-old man from Penn Run who was charged with indirect criminal contempt for an incident from July 27th of this year. He was ordered by Judge Michael Clark to serve three months of probation.
