Indiana County will be bustling with festivals this weekend as the summer season heads to its final weeks.
The annual Italian Festival returns to Downtown Indiana tomorrow, which runs from noon to 7. The event features vendors, crafts, spirits, live bands, and, most importantly, Italian food. Andy Hart from Cat Country 106.3 FM will also broadcast live from the Italian Festival from noon to 5 p.m. with our prize wheel. Attendees can park on Water Street, at the parking garage, or along the streets downtown.
Nick Karas from Nap’s Cucina Mia said the reason the Italian Festival is celebrated during this time of year is to celebrate the Italian heritage and the growth of several key ingredients.
Also happening is the annual Knotweed Festival in Blairsville, which starts with the parade along East Market Street at 11. West Market Street from Spring to Water Street will be closed off to parking during the event.
