Altoona was shut out, 7-0 in their series opener at Portland. The Curve stranded eleven baserunners. First baseman Nick Cimillo was 3-for-3 with a double.
Po-Yu Chen starts for the Curve tonight. After four starts in which he threw 27 innings and gave up only three runs, he gave up four runs in six-and-a-third innings in his last start last Wednesday against Richmond.
