Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco ordered 40-year-old Daniel Wetzel to serve probation for theft-related charges this morning in Indiana County Court.
Wetzel, who was originally from Indiana but has an address listed as SCI Somerset according to court records, was ordered to serve two years of probation for a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property and one year for a charge of theft from a motor vehicle. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Indiana Borough Police officers that revealed Wetzel stole someone’s credit card and made several transactions between December 1, 2022, and January 1 of this year.
Both of those sentences will run concurrently. Wetzel was also charged with access device fraud, however, there’s no word if he will be prosecuted for that.
