At the Little League Junior World Series, Indiana’s 14U softball team continues to dominate their competition. Yesterday, they took down Goodyear, Arizona, 11-1. Madison Twincheck had two two-run doubles, in the first and fifth innings.
Indiana scored five runs in the first, on a run-scoring groundout, Twincheck’s double, an error, and Kaitlyn Houser’s RBI double. They made it 6-0 on Sophia Thomas’s RBI groundout in the second, and 8-0 in the third when two more runs scored on errors.
Kaylee Cass started and went five innings in the circle, giving up a run on three hits with six strikeouts and a walk.
Indiana had eight hits and drew six walks in the game.
Up next for the girls is a game at 7 PM tonight against Repentigny, Quebec, Canada.
