UPDATE: Cameron Raubaugh’s sentencing hearing has been continued to August 23rd. No word yet on why the delay was asked for.
WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED:
A sentencing hearing is set for today for the man involved in a shooting with IUP police last October.
20-year-old Cameron Held Raubaugh of Pittsburgh will go before Indiana County Judge Michael Clark for that hearing today. He pleaded guilty on May 14th to charges of aggravated assault-fear of imminent severe bodily injury and making false reports in connection with the incident at George P. Miller Stadium Parking Lot on October 29th. He called police reporting a robbery by a man wearing black clothes and wielding a knife. When IUP police arrived, they found Raubaugh there matching the description given in the call. He knocked an officer down and a shot was fired, but it missed. State police responded and subdued Raubaugh by using a taser.
Raubaugh will also be sentenced for a charge of criminal trespass for an incident on February 9th of this year.
