Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi announced this morning that 25-year-old Jacob Hankinson of Blairsville pled guilty to charges connected with a drug trafficking case from earlier this year.
State police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Hankinson in April after he failed to stop his motorcycle at a stop sign, but he fled troopers and later initiated a foot chase. He was eventually apprehended, and troopers found 112.31 grams of methamphetamine on him and later determined he planned on selling or distributing them.
Hankinson was arraigned on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver on April 29, and he pled guilty to that charge this morning before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco.
Hankinson is scheduled for sentencing on September 30th, with a pre-sentence investigation taking place between now and then.
