REA Energy has issued a notice about recent power blinks in northern Indiana County.
A news release from the power distribution company said that members served by the Georgeville and Locust substations, which serve the areas of Ambrose, Plumville, Rossmoyne, Smicksburg and Trade City, have seen these blinks at intermittent times. REA Energy cooperative say the blinks are caused by a loss of power from the local transmission company.
REA says that they understand the frustration from its members served by the substations and other substations in the area that may have been affected. They are working with the local transmission company to get the issue resolved.
