It was a lost weekend for the Altoona Curve, which lost all three games to Somerset despite three strong pitching performances. The Curve lost 2-0 on Friday, 2-1 on Saturday in a game in which Thomas Harrington struck out ten, and 3-2 yesterday. Hunter Barco made his Double-A debut and threw three scoreless one-hit innings, striking out five. Bubba Chandler returned from the inactive list and took the loss, giving up all three runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts in five innings.
The Curve move on to Erie to start a six-game series tomorrow night against the SeaDogs.
LHP Hunter Barco (0.00) started and allowed one hit with five strikeouts in three scoreless innings. RHP Bubba Chandler (5-6, 3.67) took the loss after giving up three runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts in five innings of relief.
