It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Dean Bechtel, 58, of Indiana on July 15, 2024. Ronald passed at his home surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife Linda (Boring) whom he married on November 22, 2023 but have been together since the early 1980’s.
The son of Willis Dean and (Birth Mother) Evelyn May (Tarter) Bechtel, he was born in Indiana PA, January 24, 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Robin (Bob) Isenberg.
In addition to his wife, Ronald leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, remembered fondly by his daughter Jessica Noon of York, Pa, his son Justin (Jolene) Boring of Glendale Arizona, as well as his grandchildren Devon Noon, Cloe Boring, Justin Boring Jr., and Liam Noon. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy Bechtel of Indiana; brothers Mike (Jenn) Bechtel and James Marcia) Venanzio; sisters Wendy (Rich) Gallo and April (Aris) Papageorge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his uncles Dave (Barb) Porch, and James Porch and aunts Dee (Bert) Howard, Kitty Josey, and Susan (Janusz) Porch Lantz.
Ronald could often be seen out riding with Linda on his Suzuki motorcycle. He also enjoyed driving demolition derby cars in matches all around Indiana County. His loyal dog “Rocco,” who he loved, always stayed by his side. Ronald was Master of the BBQ Grill during summer cook outs. He was a proud republican with strong views for this year’s election He loved the trucking industry and spent 13 years driving for William G. Satterlee & Sons.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 6 pm until the time of the service at 8 pm at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Road South, Indiana, with Pastor Greg Golden officiating. Interment will be private.
The family would like to thank Aseracare Hospice Care of Johnstown, especially Missy and Mallory, for their patient, compassionate care of Ronald over the past seven months. They are now like family and are truly amazing individuals
