Along with the car fire that was reported late yesterday morning, first responders were busy again with several different incidents, including two brush fires reported.
The first brush fire of the day was at 1:32 PM along Shellbark Road in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh-East Wheatfield and Clyde fire department were called out at that time, and Black Lick fire crews were called in to standby for Clyde firefighters. The other brush fire was reported at 3:03 PM along Lucerne Road in Center Township. Homer City and Indiana Firefighters were dispatched at the time. These two fires make 38 brush fire calls this year in Indiana County.
Indiana County 911 reported two vehicle accidents on Route 119 South in Center Township. For the first one at 4:06 PM, Coral-Graceton and Homer City fire crews called out. The other accident was at 2:18 this morning and Homer City firefighters, State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance dispatched to the scene.
