A status conference is scheduled for today for a man charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and other crimes.
Court documents show that 24-year-old Reed Tantlinger of Homer City will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco for the conference today. Along with the previously mentioned charge, he is accused of accident where the victim dies, two counts of DUI-controlled substance, along with seven summary traffic counts in connection with an incident on January 7th, 2023 that killed 25-year-old Hunter McCloskey. The crash happened in the Westbound lanes of Route 422 in Pine Township as Tantlinger allegedly rear-ended McCloskey’s vehicle, pushing him into several boulders and a utility pole along the side of the road. Tantlinger fled the scene but was later found at a relative’s house.
