Altoona stumbled out of the gate to start the second half of the season, but the Curve have won 9 of their last 10 games, including yesterday’s 5-3 win over Bowie. Charles McAdoo and Dustin Peterson each homered and McAdoo had three hits. Peterson and Jase Bowen each had two hits, with Bowen knocking in a run with a triple. The Pirates’ rehabbing Ryan Borucki had a rough outing, giving up two runs in two-thirds of an inning.
The Curve enter their All-Star break at 38-48 overall, but 10-8 in the second half of the season. They will play on Friday night in New Jersey against the Yankees’ affiliate, the Somerset Patriots.
