The Indiana County Municipal Services Authority is asking residents to cut down on water usage for the next few days.
Residents across the county are asked to cut back non-essential water usage by 5 percent for the time being. Officials with the ICMSA say the voluntary reduction is due to the lack of heavy rainfall recently and loss of water across several streams.
Non-essential water usage is considered to be washing cars and watering gardens and swimming pools.
No exact timeline has been set for the reduction to end.
