The Pennsylvania Game Commission approved expanding some hunting land in Indiana County at their meeting last week.
Roughly 10 acres in Buffington Township were added to State Game Land 79, which is considered to take up parts of Buffington and Brush Valley Townships in Indiana County, and Barr, Blacklick and Jackson Townships in neighboring Cambria County. Last year, areas in Montgomery, Burrell and Young Townships were expanded by the Game Commission.
The biggest expansion of land was in Elk County, where approximately 1,747 acres of state game land was approved for St. Mary’s in Elk County.
