The State Attorney General’s Office announced that a Kittanning man was convicted of third-degree murder and other crimes related to a drug overdose death in 2020.
41-year-old Nathan Wolfe was also convicted of drug delivery resulting in death, aggravated assault, involuntary manslaughter, delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility for the death of 43-year-old Eric McMillen on February 5th of 2020. The Attorney General’s office submitted testimony that Wolfe provided crack cocaine laced with fentanyl to McMillen and his girlfriend in exchange for Wolfe’s use of McMillen’s vehicle at a grocery store parking lot. The case was investigated and charges were filed by the Armstrong County DA’s office. DA Kate Charlton said that the case will “send a message to those dealing drugs in Armstrong County that such conduct will not be tolerated.”
Attorney General Michelle Henry said in a statement that her office will continue to “take an aggressive approach to traffickers who know they are profiting from poison” and she commended the jurors for their work.
A sentencing hearing is set for September 20th.
