Clymer Borough Council met Wednesday night and approved some motions connected with the upcoming Cambria County Fireman’s Convention for July 27 to August 3rd.
One of those is a waiver for the no alcohol policy at Sherman Street Ballfield for the whiffleball tournament. Another is for the closure of Sherman Street for the duration of the convention, and according to Borough Manager Sonya Schrenkel, the department will use it for some different items.
The borough will also hold its annual community garage sale days this weekend. 22 homes are part of the sales this year, and a physical map can be obtained at the borough office. A digital map can be found by clicking here.
