Altoona blanked Bowie, 4-0, last night in the first of a six-game homestand. Charles McAdoo opened the scoring with a RBI single in the third. Tsung-Che Cheng followed in the seventh with a three-run home run to put the game out of reach.
Ryan Borucki and David Bednar pitched as part of their rehab assignments last night. Borucki fanned two hitters over one-and-two-thirds innings, while Bednar struck out one over an inning of work.
Thomas Harrington (1-2, 2.72 ERA) starts for Altoona in the second game of the series tonight.
