River Valley senior Ava Persichetti announced her commitment to play basketball at Division I Richmond yesterday. Persichetti has 1,737 total points for the Panthers in three seasons and averaged 20.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game last season.
Persichetti also earned All-State honors in Class 3A in each of the past two seasons. She reportedly received offers from Stonybrook, Robert Morris, UMBC, UMass, Appalachian State, and Lafayette.
