One of the Steelers main offseason acquisitions will miss some time this season as the NFL on Monday suspended defensive back Cam Sutton without pay for the first eight games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
Sutton was released by Detroit after an arrest warrant was issued in March after he was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident. He eventually turned himself into police and began a pretrial diversion program in April after the charges were reduced.
Sutton will be eligible to apply for reinstatement October 29th.
