Make it three in a row for the Altoona Curve as they beat the Harrisburg Senators 4-3 in Altoona last night.
It was another big night for the Curve’s pitching staff, as Po-Yu Chen went seven innings allowing two runs and notching eight strikeouts. Harrisburg started the scoring in the 1st on a throwing error, but in the 2nd, Kervin Pichardo’s line drive single on to score Sammy Siani. Harrisburg re-took the lead in the third on a bases-loaded walk, but in the Curve half of the 6th, Jase Bowen hit an RBI Double that scored Dustin Peterson, then Pichardo scored Jase Bowen on a single, and that was followed by a Jackson Glen hit and an error by Harrisburg centerfielder Andrew Pickney to make it 4-2. Harrisburg tried to comeback in the 8th, but only got one run back.
Altoona wraps up the week-long series tonight with Drake Fellows starting for the Curve. Harrisburg has not named its starter yet.
