Bubba Chandler was spectacular again for Altoona in a 3-0 shutout of Harrisburg last night. Chandler tossed a career-high seven-and-two-thirds innings, giving up just two hits and striking out seven. He threw 97 pitches, 64 of them strikes, walked none and faced the minimum number of batters.
Since returning from the injured list on May 29th, Chandler has struck out 45 batters and walked only four, with a 4-2 record and a 2.19 ERA.
Altoona scored on a sacrifice bunt by Tres Gonzalez in the first inning, a Senators throwing error in the third, and a run-scoring single by Jackson Glenn in the fourth.
Thomas Harrington starts for the Curve tonight as the six-game split series moves to Altoona’s PNG Field.
