Altoona dropped its fifth game in six tries against Akron to open the second half of the season, 7-4 on Sunday. Charles McAdoo hit his third home run at the AA level and Eli Wilson had two hits.
There’s a bit of a twist to Altoona’s schedule this week. Instead of the normal Tuesday through Sunday routine, the Curve play three games at Harrisburg starting tonight, then return home for three more against the Senators at the end of the week, starting on the 4th of July. They will have Sunday off, then welcome Bowie to PNG Field for six games next week, making it their longest homestand of the season, nine games.
Drake Fellows starts for the Curve tonight.
