A Clearfield County man is scheduled to be sentenced today for multiple charges of rape.
Court documents show that 64-year-old Manas J. Lee of Westover will go before Judge Michael Clark for his hearing. In February of this year, Lee pleaded guilty to six counts of rape and one count of sexual intercourse with an animal for incidents that happened over a 24-year-span starting in 2000. Six other charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child were not prosecuted as part of the plea deal on February 2nd.
Also due in court today is Storm Michael Arbogast of Punxsutawney, who will turn 28-years-old this week. He pleaded guilty in May to charges of simple assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a case on September 28th of last year where he fired a shot at a man in an incident at an apartment building on South 3rd Street. While he missed the victim, police said Arbogast kicked the man down a set of steps. Charges of prohibited firearms possession, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of an instrument of a crime were not prosecuted as part of the plea deal. He is expected before Judge Gina Force this morning.
