At the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, Homer-Center graduate Angel Piccirillo qualified for tonight’s semifinals in the women’s 15-hundred meters. Piccirillo finished 11th in the preliminary, in 4:08.25, which was 1.84 seconds behind Elle St. Pierre’s winning time.
The semifinals will be tonight at 8:53 PM Eastern. The final, to determine the three runners who will be going to the Paris Olympics next month, will be on Sunday at 8:09 PM.
