Travelers embarking on road trips ahead of the Independence Day weekend should consider taking rain gear as Accuweather says rainfall could disrupt celebration plans.
Indiana County and the rest of Pennsylvania are in the portion of the U.S. that is expected to get “rounds of thunderstorms” over the holiday weekend. These storms are attributed to the high temperatures that will hit the nation next week, with highs ranging from the low-to-mid 80s.
Meteorologist Joseph Bauer advises travelers to “watch the forecast closely,” over the next week, including on Independence Day, which is next Thursday. Some of these storms could be severe, bringing plenty of lightning with them.
