The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds has announced $650,000 in grant money is about to be distributed to entities and projects across the state, including a project in Indiana County.
The foundation invests in local efforts throughout the state that cleans up pollution in streams, protect healthy ones and restore degraded wildlife habitats. The grants come twice a year to leverage federal, state and local money to “protect the best of the best and restore the worst of the worst water problems.”
As part of this round of grant disbursements, the Indiana County Conservation District will receive $11,385. That money is expected to go toward the Lucenre 3A passive AMD treatment system.
