The Homer-Center School District and the Indiana County Technology Center have been awarded grants from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters to help their communications media departments.

Homer-Center will receive $50,000 from the association as part of their program to help fund upgrades to the comm media departments. ICTC will receive $10,600 at their board meeting later this month. Renda Media Regional vice-president and PAB board member Mark Bertig talked about one of the items that Homer-Center will be able to purchase using the grant.
Homer-Center High School IT teacher Chris Garritano said that this will raise the bar on their productions.
Homer-Center becomes the second school in the state to receive this grant, while ICTC becomes the third.
