IUP’S WILLIAMS NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR

IUP women’s track & field’s Kaylla Williams has been named the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year.

Williams is the first female IUP women’s track & field student-athlete to earn Freshman of the Year honors in program history. She set an NCAA DII Provisional mark and school record in the javelin with a heave of 46.62m (152′ 11″) in April at the Bison Outdoor Classic.  That earned her All-Region honors and qualified her for the 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Kansas. She finished 19^th in the national meet.
