One of the area’s biggest fundraisers for the Evergreen After School Club gets underway tonight.
The annual Kiss-A-Pig contest returns to raise funds for the after-school programs. It will be held at 5 o’clock at Noble Stein Brewing Company in Indiana. The finalists will be unveiled at the event and then they will have the summer to raise funds for the club. The person with the most funds raised will kiss a pig at the Indiana County Fair on August 27.
Joyce Sharman said they are still taking volunteers to kiss the pig.
Last year, more than $28,000 was raised in the Kiss-A-Pig contest with Larissa Murphy and Erin Dougherty of First Commonwealth Bank raising $11,000.
