IUP FINISHES 39TH IN LEARFIELD STANDINGS

IUP finished in a tie for 39^th place in the final Division II LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, which are based on a school’s finish in NCAA Championships.  The scoring counts fifteen sports and must include women’s volleyball and basketball and men’s basketball and baseball.  A strong effort in spring sports enabled IUP to climb eighteen spots in the final standings.

IUP was third among PSAC schools, tied with West Chester.  Gannon was 19^th, and Kutztown was 36^th.

IUP was 36^th last year.  The highest finish ever for the Crimson Hawks was 13^th, in 2009-10.
