Indiana Borough Police have charged a Blairsville man for alcohol-related crimes following an incident last month. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Church Street around 1:15 a.m. on May 4th and found the driver, 20-year-old Andrew J. Baker, was under the influence of alcohol to the point where he was unsafe to drive. He was taken into custody and later released to a sober adult following evidence collection. Baker was charged with DUI-Minors, underage consumption of alcohol, and a summary traffic charge.
Two teens were cited following a fight Wednesday afternoon at Indiana Senior High School. Indiana Borough Police say they were summoned to the school around 2:20 p.m. when two students, who were not identified in reports, began fighting following a school assembly. Staff members broke up the fight and called police. Both students were cited for disorderly conduct.
