Counties, municipal authorities, watershed organizations, businesses and other groups are being reminded that if they want some money from the Growing Greener Grant program, they have until June 21st to apply.
The grants come from the state Department of Environmental Protection, and the grants favor projects that are focused on watershed protection and restoration. Also high on the priority list are projects that expedite on-the-ground, best management practices implementation and develop agricultural erosion and sediment management or nutrient and manure management plans.
