The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh said that a tornado briefly touched down on Wednesday in Latrobe .
The storm touched down in the McChesneytown and Loyalhanna areas of Latrobe, marking the 16th tornado reported in the region of Western PA, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia this month. Eyewitnesses said the EF-zero tornado touched down around 6:20 PM. Meteorologists said the windspeed was 60-65 miles an hour, but did not exceed 70 miles an hour, making this storm one of the weaker storms.
No injuries were reported, but trees and some homes were damaged.
