West Shamokin was shut out by Bald Eagle in the District 6 softball championship at Mount Aloysius yesterday afternoon, 4-0.
The game was scoreless through the first four innings, but Bald Eagle garnered two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pull ahead for good. Alexa Baney led Bald Eagle with two home runs and three RBI while Sierra Albright struck out 13 in the circle.
Cameron Vandervort, Malena Stewart and Avery Elkin accounted for the three West Shamokin hits.
