The Altoona Curve posted their third straight win last night, beating the Erie Seawolves 8-3.
Eddy Yean picked up his fourth win of the season after Thomas Harrington allowed three runs in 4.2 innings, being pulled after hitting his hard pitch count limit. Yean took over at that point, sending down seven straight batters. Seth Beer had a two-run homer in the first and picked up two more in the sixth, then Connor Scott beat out a potential inning-ending groundout to give the Curve the lead 4-3. Altoona then put four runs up across the 8th and 9th innings to extend their lead.
The Curve and the Seawolves will play again today. Braxton Ashcraft will start for Altoona while Carlos Pena will start for Erie.
