Center Township officials have announced that the Long Road bridge project is complete a week ahead of schedule.
The bridge has been under construction over the last month. During that time, crews have been replacing the deteriorating bridge over Muddy Run east of Homer City. Before construction got underway, a temporary bridge was put in place to allow traffic to continue to flow in a safe manner.
The project included the replacement of the bridge and the return of the temporary bridge to Indiana County. Crews have been working on the bridge for the last two months.
