First-round draft pick Troy Fautanu felt a lot more comfortable on the second day of Steelers OTAs after admitting that the first day was very hard. Fautanu said the speed of the NFL game was his biggest adjustment, but he credited veterans Dan Moore and Isaac Seumalo and even last year’s top draft choice, Broderick Jones, for mentoring him.
Fautanu says he’s just trying to absorb as much as he can as he begins his NFL career.
Steelers team president Art Rooney II says hosting the 2026 NFL Draft may end up being “the largest visitor event in the history of Pittsburgh.” The NFL announced the event yesterday at its spring meetings in Nashville.
Rooney says the draft has always been an important part of the Steelers story.
Rooney said the draft will also be a celebration of the many NFL greats who were born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, such as Mike Ditka, Dan Marino, and Joe Montana. He said it will very likely be held on the North Shore, outside Acrisure Stadium.
Next year’s NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay.
