The Penguins re-signed defenseman Jack St. Ivany and forward Jonathan Gruden yesterday.
St. Ivany became a key part of the defensive corps late last season. He signed for three years, while Gruden, who’s been up and down between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Pittsburgh, signed for two years. Each contract carries a $775,000 cap hit at the NHL level.
The Pens also signed defenseman Filip Kral to a one-year contract for $775,000. He was a 5th round draft pick by Kyle Dubas with Toronto in 2018. Kral played last season in Finland.
