Preparation for another road project begins tomorrow in Indiana County. The first phase of the replacement of the Marion Center Bridge will get underway on Route 403 in the borough. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction.
Work crews will install a temporary stream diversion, a sidewalk, temporary traffic signals, and create an access to the post office. Phase 1 will last into August. More information will be released on the project prior to the start of Phase 2.
The $1.36 million project is scheduled for completion in December.
While that work is just getting started, several other projects are nearing their end. White Township’s traffic signal contractor is finishing up the transition of the signals from overhead wires to fixed mast arms at the Ben Franklin Road South/Warren Road/Indiana Springs Road intersection.
Resurfacing work is just about complete on North Fourth Street in Indiana Borough and White Township, including portions of Old Route 119.
And the Route 422 Bypass Project between Route 954 and Route 119 will be done soon. It’s scheduled for completion next month.
