The first phase of a bridge replacement project in Marion Center will start on Monday.
On that day, prep work will begin along Route 403 to replace the Marion Center Bridge that carries the road over Pine Run. This phase will continue into August as crews install temporary stream diversion efforts, sidewalk, traffic signals and access to the post office. As part of the efforts, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction for this phase of the project.
PennDOT says they will announce further traffic pattern plans before the start of phase two. The $1.36 million project from Francis J. Palo construction of Clarion will wrap up by December of this year.
